In 2006, Toronto boy JP came to Beijing to teach finance and then decided that if he spoke Chinese it would be easier to pick Chinese chicks - ergo quit teaching and start studying Chinese. His favourite pick-up place for local girls is the zoo which he's been to over a dozen times! Being a proper Canadian, didn't leave home without his hockey gear - BUT after a few beers post game one night, this knucklehead forgot his gear in a Beijing taxi. Now on Sundays, he makes his pilgrimage across the capital and out to the rink and has to wear a Jofa helmet as a mark of shame! Though not a "Marlie" he does play with a maple leaf on his chest.
