Andrew Hjelmeland III (USA)

Not to be confused with Andrew Hjelmeland I, or Andrew Hjelmeland II, this third edition of the Hjemeland clan hails from Minnesota… “You betcha eh…” Andrew is the only player on Beijing to undergo brain surgery (See the Dubai 2000 Tournament for details). The former manager of a health club in Beijing, the “Diaper Sniper” was by far the healthiest player on the team despite a weekly recurring bout of alcoholism. He has toured Manila, Hong Kong, Ulaan Baatar, Bangkok, Dubai and Taiyuan. With deeds too numerous to mention, suffice to say he was a leader in the team’s corruption of innocents in Club Hollywood and The Hobbitt House. In Beijing’s weekly non-contact games, MC Hummer was a hammering both foreigners and the little locals… with misplaced pride. As one of the more talented players in Beijing, he will always remember the 5 games he was able to play against the Chinese Men’s National Ice Hockey Team in their preparation for the World Cup Qualification Tournament in 1999.
