'Doc' Martin
Springer (US)
Doc is always ready to help! Some say with his medical skills more than
his puck skills. BUT - in 2009, Doc scored his first competitive goal ever
- and then shocked the hockey world with his second!
Doc is truly a doctor without borders, and has toured in Mongolia and
Bangkok, and lead a group of hockey players to Nepal for whitewater
rafting over '09 National Day vacation, where he kayaked 300km during the
5 day trip while the other players floated along in the raft letting the
Nepalese guides do most of the work.
Some day we hope he will teach the rest of us how to use the defibrillator
so we can help him if needed!
Usually we say 'Doc - keep your head up!' - but when Doc is on the ice
- teammates and opposition need to keep their head up!
