The "Gonger" has been playing hockey and refereeing in Beijing since the Qing Dynasty. His calls are always subject to controversy, but without him, there would be no Chinese team in Beijing. He leads his 40 players in weekly games, and ensures that they are in tip top shape. His drills puzzle foreigners, but it must be some Ancient Chinese Hockey Secret we "LaoWai" just don't/can't understand.
